The Virginia Tech Hokies opponent Saturday night got some good news Wednesday evening with word from the NCAA that Alabama wideout Julio Jones and running back Mark Ingram were cleared to play on Saturday night.

WASHINGTON (AP) – A spokesman for the health insurance industry accused Democrats of mounting a “fishing expedition” on Wednesday, as individual insurers decided whether to honor a request for financial records sought in a House committee’s investigation.

Search Continues for Missing Woman (KCRG-TV9 Cedar Rapids)

JONES COUNTY – The Jones County Sheriff’s Department tells KCRG-TV9 News it is still looking for a missing 63-year-old woman. Family members say Jeanne Schnepp went fishing Wednesday and never returned. Her truck was near a boat ramp in rural Jones County with all her personal belongings inside.

Fishing banned off parts of Sonoma, Mendocino coasts (The Santa Rosa Press Democrat)

STAFF AND WIRE REPORTS California regulators sharply restricted fishing off more than 20 percent of the state’s coastline from the San Francisco Peninsula to Mendocino County and parts of Sonoma County, turning back pleas Wednesday to allow more abalone diving and delay the new measures due to budgetary concerns.
